Each fall, we host our annual food and book drive to support the Markham Food Bank and The Children’s Book Bank of Toronto. With rising food costs, this event strives to ensure no child goes to school hungry. Additionally, reading is a vital skill that boosts literacy rates and improves socioeconomic outcomes. Our goal is to ensure that every child has access to these important resources and the opportunities they bring. The response from our community has been amazing, and over the past four years we have collected 1200 lbs of non-perishable food items and 100 boxes of gently used children’s books.
