My name is Arya Dhir, a 17-year-old from Markham, Ontario, and the founder of Nam-jai. During the COVID-19 pandemic, as I watched and read the news, I became aware of how fortunate I am to have a loving family and access to everything I need. The pandemic affected everyone differently, and I knew I wanted to find a way to support my community during such challenging times. With that motivation and lots of support from my parents, I founded Nam-jai, a platform dedicated to giving back and making a positive impact where it’s needed most. Our goal with Nam-jai is not only to support existing organizations within our community, but also to encourage people of all ages to do the same. I believe that small acts of kindness can have a big ripple effect, and I’m committed to inspiring others to join in our journey.
